Sixth Form Enrolment

Internal students with completed applications

• If an internal student has applied for our Sixth Form they must log on to their application on Applica to confirm their details entered on their application form. 
• They will also receive an enrolment form enclosed with their results outlining their offer for Sixth Form. 
• If students have met the entry criteria for their chosen courses and are happy to enrol with us, they will have the option to ‘fast track’ their enrolment by completing the green slip at the bottom of the green letter and submitting this at one of the Sixth Form stations in the sports hall. 
• All transition work needs to be completed and submitted.
• This will complete their enrolment and they will also receive an enrolment pack. This will be emailed home to parents also. 
• If students have met our entry criteria and would like to change the courses they have applied for they will need to indicate this on the slip at the bottom of their Sixth Form offer letter .
• They will then be designated a Sixth Form enrolment slot with a member of the Sixth Form team to discuss their application.
• When courses are decided the student must submit all transition work completed and complete the transition work for any new courses selected by Wednesday 4th September 2024.
• All students will receive confirmation of their enrolment and courses on Applica on Friday 23rd August 2024.

External students with completed applications

1. If an external student has applied for our Sixth Form they must log on to their application on Applica to confirm their details entered on their application form and update their predicted grades to the grades achieved.
2. They must upload a picture of their exam results slip and their photo ID and bring these to school.
3. They must attend Oaks Park between 11.00am and 1.00pm for an enrolment meeting.
4. Their application will be discussed and processed during the meeting.
5. When courses are decided the student must submit all transition work completed and complete the transition work for any new courses selected by Wednesday 3rd September 2024.
6. All students will receive confirmation of their enrolment and courses on Applica on Friday 23rd August 2024.

Students Unable to attend Enrolment

1. If a student is unable to attend enrolment and wish to join Oaks Park Sixth Form it is crucial that they contact the school via sixthformteam@oakspark.redbridge.sch.uk.
2. The email must include the following information:
1. Informs us that you are not able to attend enrolment but would still like to enrol
2. States the  3 or 4 course choices in order of preference
3. Selects 2 reserve choices that you may want to do if the other courses are at capacity. 
4. Send a clear picture of your results and photo ID
3. A member of the Sixth Form team will process these requests on Friday 22nd August 2024. 
4. When courses are decided the student must submit all transition work by Wednesday 3rd September 2024.

Please be aware that all places in the Sixth Form are subject to students meeting the entry criteria and there being a sufficient uptake of students for the course to be viable to run.  Enrolment will close at 3.00pm on Friday 23rd August 2024.  

If students do not meet the entry criteria for our Sixth Form or who need advice and guidance with regards to destinations and next steps, the Careers Team will be available to support with questions related to post-16 pathways and alternative qualifications and opportunities on the day.
