Year 12 students from Oaks Park High School recently enjoyed an insightful visit to Cambridge University, aimed at providing a clear understanding of the application process and a real taste of university life. The day included a detailed introduction to applying for Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, offering valuable advice on crafting strong applications and meeting the specific requirements of these institutions. Students also toured Newnham College, where they gained insight into the history and traditions of the university. A highlight of the day was the Q&A session with current Cambridge students, who shared honest accounts of their academic and social experiences, helping to dispel common myths about life at Cambridge.

The visit also focused on academic enrichment and skill-building. Students participated in a university research activity, exploring articles from their chosen fields in greater depth to develop their understanding of advanced topics.
