GCSE Results Day 2022

Oaks Park High School students and staff are celebrating a wonderful set of GCSE
results. Their achievement is testimony to the way that the year group have risen to the challenge of the return of public examinations and maintained focus and ambition throughout, despite the disruption to their studies caused by the pandemic. The outcomes reflected excellent progression for the pupils, for example, English achieved 85% grades 9-4, Maths 80% grades 9-4 and the majority of qualifications were above national average.

A special mention must go to Mahfuz Patwary who achieved nine 9s and two 8s and will go on to study Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths at Oaks Park Sixth Form. This was an outstanding effort and is just one example of the many individual success stories from the cohort.

Headteacher Joanne Hamill put the excellent outcomes down to the combined effort and excellent working relationships between students, staff and parents at Oaks Park High School. “It is great to see so many of our students be able to progress onto the pathways to which they have aspired; they should be proud of these results as we all are. I am very grateful for all the hard work and commitment from colleagues who have inspired and encouraged students to achieve their very best.’

Enrolment for the Sixth Form has been taking place this morning. Once again the Sixth Form has been oversubscribed with applications. Many students have enrolled already this morning and will continue Thursday afternoon and Friday morning for external applicants.
