Oaks Park Library

The Library (Learning Resource Centre) is situated over two floors with a total of 29 computers to use for homework and research. We have an extensive range of fiction and non-fiction books, which we are always adding to, so if you have any book suggestions please pop in and let us know.

All resources can be borrowed on a three week loan period.  Two books can be taken at once by all students, however, sixth form students may take out three books at one time.  If you need more time with your book/s please ask us to renew them.

  • Fiction books are arranged alphabetically under the author’s surname.
  • Non-fiction (or information) books are arranged in numerical order according to their subject.
  • Reference Books are situated in our “Chill out and Read” area.

Friday Movie

There is a movie on every Friday in the LRC.  All the films are adaptations from books that we have in the LRC.  The film starts at 7.30am, then carries on during break time and lunchtime.

All Year 7 and Year 8 students must have a book from the LRC with them at all times for their Accelerated Reader Programme.

Off the Shelf Resources

Oaks Park Library offers over 22,000 off the shelf resources including books, DVDs, magazines, and newspapers.  We also stock a large range of Large Print fiction books for our visually impaired students.
